The Application Functional Specialist – PP-PI is responsible for development and support activities related to SAP ECC Production Planning – Process Industries (PP-PI).  The Specialist will be responsible for collecting and analyzing business requirements, system configuration, prototyping, creating functional specification document for custom development, conducting testing and support activities.  The Specialist will work on focus projects and enhancements but may also be assigned to assist system support from time to time.


Project Delivery and Enhancements for Manufacturing:

  • Responsible for collection and analysis of business requirements to come up with functional design documents (blueprint documents)
  • Collaborate with developers and other functional and analytics team members
  • Design, monitor and perform quality assurance testing to ensure accuracy, quality and stability while maximizing performance and scalability
  • Ensure documentation requirement are met and are of high quality
  • System configuration, prototyping and testing to demonstrate functionalities to fulfill business requirements
  • Training key users on specific functionalities


Support IT Service Management and IT Quality processes

  • Responsible for active support and adherence to defined IT Service Management procedures
  • Responsible for support and compliance with change and release management procedures
  • Responsible for following the quality assurance and testing process
  • Responsible for developing solutions in accordance with architecture standards
  • Responsible for documentation of all changes up-to-date



  • Minimum 2 years SAP configuration experience in PP-PI
  • Interface experience with SAP PI is preferred
  • Had experience integrating SAP with 3rd party software
  • Demonstrated understanding of IT Service Management concepts and procedures
  • Experience with building materials industry is preferred


Education / Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or related discipline required

Language requirements

  • Excellent English (both written and spoken)
