 The responsibility of this position is the hands-on operation of the site equipment and daily operating functions of the site as so directed by site management.




Ensure that plant and surrounding site is kept safe, presentable and functional. Practices and maintains full compliance with LafargeHolcim Health & Safety policies and procedures.



Environmental Responsibility and Awareness:


Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.





Ensure safe and efficient operations for all site equipment (Mobile and Heavy equipment such as Mill Circuit & Aggregates Dryer Circuit, Front End Loader, and Truck Mobile) within Standard Operating Procedure for site.




General & preventative work on all site equipment.




Performs all other duties and functions requested by site management associated with the operation of the facility so long as those duties do not present a safety hazard



Relationships with Others Jobs:


  • Reports to Site Supervisor
  • Works closely with contractors, electrician, maintenance, management and other employees


Specific Accountabilities:

  • Processes Bill of Ladings.
  • Proficient in trouble shooting site equipment failures
  • Strong computer based office functions and generate requested reports.
  • Assumes responsibilities for terminal operation during absence of supervisor.
  • Maintains the terminal in a clean and presentable state.

Education & Work Experience:


  • Canadian secondary school diploma or equivalent
  • Post secondary education an asset
  • 2-5 relevant work experience an asset
  • Heavy equipment operation experience an asset
  • G Drivers license
  • License to operate heavy equipment an asset


Knowledge & Skills:


  • Strong computer literacy
  • Knowledge of Cement or construction an asset
  • Proficiency with various computer applications is a definite asset
  • Good written and verbal communications
  • Good time management, self directed
  • Ability to work with others
