The Customer Service Representative team functions as the primary day to day interface with customers for order placement and arrangement of delivery within the greater Calgary market. CSR's report to the Customer Service and Logistics Manager and are responsible for all administrative activities that support the coordination and delivery of concrete. This individual will need to ensure proper system utilization, as well as consistent process management related to daily scheduling and ticketing. The Customer Service Representative will need to work closely with the customer as well as sales and logistics to achieve effective customer service.


  • Adhere to all Lafarge safety policies and procedures
  • Support a safe office work environment as well as supporting field safety programs
  • Responsible for consistent and reliable customer service from order placement through delivery
  • Proactive outgoing calls to customers to advise of any delays in delivery, to ensure orders are received in a timely manner and to improve customer service
  • Field customer complaints and follow up in a timely, professional manner
  • Maintain strong working relationships with our internal Sales, Operation, and Logistic teams
  • Maintain a positive, open work environment; this includes excellent communication and strong working relationships with your peers
  • Support continuous improvement; challenge any process that does not meet overall objectives
  • Have a flexible schedule; this position will require an individual to work different shifts as well as the potential to take calls after hours
  • Support other functions within the Logistics team as required 


Education & Work Experience:

  • High School Diploma
  • Customer service and call centre experience
  • Knowledge of construction and trucking industry not required
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and Google suite of products
  • Knowledge of Calgary and area roads an asset
