Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in all phases of a RM concrete plant operation at a remote Project Site. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Project Superintendent will oversee the operation of a concrete plant including concrete mixer drivers to ensure delivery of quality product, timely delivery and customer satisfaction.


This role will require travel within Ontario to various locations. 




  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas. Responsible for ensuring safety guidelines are followed by employees on a daily basis. Correct safety issues immediately when possible, and offer employees coaching on safe work practices. Ensures all aspects of his/her role are executed in a safe manner.


HR/Coaching & Mentoring:   


  • Fosters effective employee relations. Ensure scheduling of employees to meet Project schedule. Report to supervisor any situations that require disciplinary actions.




  • Demonstrate a commitment to meet or exceed environmental compliance.  Have an understanding of the procedures for environmental issues such as spills, dust control, truck idling and others as outlined in the EMS manual. Ensure spill containment is on hand at all times.


Customer Service: 


  • Communicate daily as required with customer to ensure our products and service are meeting or exceeding customer’s expectations.   


Other Key Responsibilities:


  • Ensure maximum productivity, minimum downtime and plant and equipment are adequately maintained.
  • Troubleshooting problems at plants and preventative maintenance to avoid breakdowns.
  • Review and analyze cost information (gas, power consumption, labour) to maximize plant efficiency [metrics and KPIs]
  • Supervise Ready-Mix Drivers
  • Schedule Concrete Deliveries
  • Accurate Batching of Quality Product
  • Comply with Safety & Environmental Policy
  • Order raw materials and inventory management

  • Ensure compliance with governmental regulations


  • Civil Engineering degree or Technologists diploma
  • Minimum 3-5 years supervisory experience
  • Experience with Batching Ready-Mix Concrete
  • Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time (mobility)
  • Knowledge with repairing machinery and equipment.
