Lafarge Leadership Development Program (LLDP)

The Lafarge Leadership Development Program offers qualified individuals an opportunity to work through developmental roles over a term of 18-24 months. The positions are designed to maximize your personal and professional learning and development. Each LLDP path is different, and custom designed for you!

Currently, we are looking for recent graduates who seek the challenge of a hands-on work environment that will provide industry knowledge and skills to drive your career path forward. We are looking for individuals who are interested in the areas of development, leadership and management of operational functions and performance throughout Eastern Canada.

To be considered for an LLDP role, qualified candidates must have a College/University degree, be willing to relocate within eastern Canada, be analytical, entrepreneurial and have highly developed communication skills. All of this must be coupled with a strong drive to gain business knowledge and a willingness to experience a variety of positions within the organization. 

Sustainability:

• Endangered Species/Biodiversity Management Plans – coordinate and manage ESA agreements, training and reporting; assist in driving implementation of biodiversity projects at key sites working with local Operations
• Forest Management Plans – review ECAN sites for potential FMPs and execute at key sites chosen for a forestry prescription
• CSC – coordinate information gathering and internal and external stakeholder engagement for CSC certification audits at key aggregate sites

Reserve Replenishment:

• Coordinate with LM, Regional Geologist and local area teams on action items and tracking
• Competitor reserves – assist RG in estimating reserves of main competitors in key markets

Circular Economy:

• Coordinate with LM and local teams on fill importation projects, research approvals and coordination
• modelling capacity / calculating volumetrics and outlining operational constraints for potential inert fill projects

Rehabilitation Plans:

• Annual tracking of ECAN disturbed and rehabilitated hectares

Safety:

• Coordinate Land Team Safety initiative with Operations (2018- “Working @the Face”)

OSSGA Awards:

• Coordinate OSSGA Industry Achievement awards submission

Approvals:

• Assist LMs on land use approvals/licence projects and site plan amendments; preparation of materials; attendance at public meetings, etc.

LAO:

• Assist LD in analysis and identification of opportunities and presentation material on land asset optimization opportunities; assist in preparation of Surplus Land Reports

Other Land Duties:

• Assist with other Land projects as needed, including: leasing, property tax, mining plans, community engagement, planning, LIS, compliance assessment reporting, etc.

You must be a recent university or college graduate within the last 2 years OR you will be completing your degree/diploma May 2018.
