    LAFARGE CANADA INC., a leading manufacturer and supplier of quality products for the construction industry, has immediate opportunities at our Edmonton Cement Terminal for a Seasonal Terminal Assistant in a unionized environment.



    • Operating pneumatic equipment producing cement blends
    • Daily operation of forklifts up to 5000 lb capacity
    • Maintains the cleanliness of the terminal and equipment.
    • Adheres to all company safety rules and performs all duties in a safe, approved manner.
    • Incumbent must be able to work overtime and willing to work shift work when required.
    Relationship with Other Jobs:
    • Reports to the Terminal Manager


    Qualification Profile:


    • High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent
    • Experience working at a cement distribution plant is a definite asset but not required

    Experience and Skill Set:

    • Fork Lift Certification
    • Possess a valid driver’s license
    • Flexible worker and self-starter
    • Capacity to work as part of a team and independently
    • Reliable and dependable
    • Mechanical aptitude
    • Ability to multi-task and meet timings and deadlines
    • Basic computer skills.
    • Ability to stand for long periods, sitting, bending, lifting, twisting and climbing.
    • Ability to work in enclosed or confined spaces, work around moving equipment and machinery and physically able to lift up to 50 lb.
    • Must be courteous, professional, safe, and have a positive attitude while working with customers, fellow employees and the general public. Must be a “Team Player."



    Pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol testing and a criminal record check may be required.
