    Overview

    The Weighmaster plays a key role in our supply chain organization and central dispatch.  They are responsible for directing inbound trucks to satisfy customer commitments and for scaling/ticketing these trucks when they leave our site.  The Scarborough Depot Weighmaster works in a fast paced environment and must be accurate and detail oriented. The Weighmaster must ensure that the scale house and surrounding area is kept safe, presentable and functional. The Weighmaster is an excellent team player and utilizes their strong organization and communication skills to execute and assist in the daily tasks of scaling trucks and administration. Familiarity with order taking, truck dispatching, heavy equipment operation, and aggregate products will be considered an asset.  The ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment along with proficiency in MS Office is essential.

    Responsibilities

    Safety: Adheres to safety policies and work practices


    Attendance: Showing up on time at the location(s) and time(s) scheduled by supervisor.


    Conduct: Treating customers, haulers and co-workers in a friendly and courteous manner.


    Policies & Procedures: Accurate and timely entry of data and information into LIFE and enterprise system as prescribed by Standard Operating Procedures.


    Dispatch Communication: Accurate and timely communication of truck status with dispatch.


    Driver Communication: Checking for compliance with Safe Trucker Program. Delivery of key logistics messages. Receive and report feedback from drivers to appropriate personnel.

    Qualifications

    Education & Work Experience:

    • High School Diploma

     

    Knowledge & Skills:

    • Preferred 3 years experience
