    The quality control technician is responsible for quality assurance/control for their specific site or business area. This role is directly responsible for following proper safety, sampling and testing procedures. Also, the technician communicates test results and their meaning to production and sales staff as required. 


    • Safety Culture: Ensures that equipment and processes at lab(s) meet or exceed all government and Lafarge Safety guidelines. Pursues a culture of safety that is best in class with an objective of “zero” safety incidents. Actively engages with other staff to reinforce safe behaviors.
    • Production Management: Provides technical support to Plant/Crusher Managers throughout production process. Interprets test results and advises production staff of potential corrective actions to maintain target product gradations.
    • Quality Assurance: Ensures that lab equipment, staff and processes follow procedures in order to provide reliable data. Undertake proper sampling and testing of materials. Enter accurate records of sample data in software systems provided.
    • Customer Focus: Respond promptly and appropriately to customer requests, concerns.


    Computer Proficiency:

    • MS Office applications.


    • Able to understand and work with testing and lab equipment.


    • Strong team player with a positive attitude and is a self starter. Effective written and oral communication skills.  Strong math skills.  Able to multi-task effectively and work in fast pace environment while being flexible.  High level of time management and prioritization skills.
    • Drivers License with a clean abstract.
