    Overview

    The primary objective of the CP Maintenance E.I.T. is to assist the Preventive Maintenance Head in developing, implementing and directing maintenance strategies, planning and activities in accordance with established parameters.

    Responsibilities

    Operational:

    • Conducts field level inspections in as directed by the Supervisor.
    • Investigates Chronic problems and provides engineering solutions to support the plant in daily activities and short term projects
    • Ensures all plant equipment is maintained in the most reliable and cost effective manner possible.
    • Must be proactive to safety standards.

    Personnel:

    • Acts as a liaison between the maintenance subsections, ensuring integrity of the maintenance system
    • Facilitate relationships with: Maintenance Manager, hourly employees, contractors

    Administrative:

    • Assists the Maintenance Manager with the preparation of maintenance budgets ensuring technical justification of maintenance operations
    • Performs monthly gap analysis of maintenance budget and performance indicators
    • Assists the Methods Manager in leading of the reliability committee, and as such analyses and proposes solutions on recurring problems of equipment reliability or problems concerning safety and work conditions

    Qualifications

    Desired Qualities and Experience:

    • Ability to take initiative based on sound problem skills
    • Ability to lead with influence, remain flexible and deal with human and technical adverse situations.

    Educational Requirement:

    • Bachelors of Science Degree preferably in Mechanical Engineering

     

    The working environment is indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, as well as extreme heat and dust in certain parts of the plant.
