    The P2P Application Designer II will work to define requirements, design, and develop complex solutions and processes for P2P applications within the NASC application platform. Supporting the Manager - Applications - R2R & P2P, the role will consider usability, cost, and speed to market while ensuring the features meet the requirements of the business customer.  The incumbent will become a stakeholder and expert for the overall design of the SAP P2P application landscape and periphery systems, as well as approves all P2P functional design documents, after complete and full review.


    • Align IT solutions to the goals of LafargeHolcim’s lines of business
    • Work directly with the business to define requirements and propose solutions
    • Contribute to the improvement of business processes
    • Proactively offer solutions and enhancements which leverage best practices while managing enterprise expectations
    • Consider all product variations across current product lines, meet the most variants possible, and ensure the most cost effective manner
    • Facilitate and lead in-depth workshops to elicit review and confirm business requirements, business process reengineering, data and workflows, business models, business rules and user interface design.
    • Quickly sketch a complex design concept and estimate effort based on business requirements
    • Lead collaborative design discussions with key stakeholders across IT and business to ensure design is consistent, accurate, flexible, and scalable.
    • Responsible for providing expertise and approvals during the development phase, test planning, and ensure solutions meet the overall design requirements for the P2P application landscape
    • Follow all established design and development standards and suggesting improvements when they are needed
    • Provide technical support to regional and global initiatives and projects
    • Design and develop applications that ensure compliance with Group internal control procedures and security policy
    • Provide technical support for all P2P applications
    • Provide support to Application Designer I and Application Analysts in terms of technical/functional expertise with the assigned business processes.
    • Oversee all P2P configuration and development
    • Approves all P2P functional design documents, after complete and full review.

    • Portfolio of 7-9 Applications
    • List of direct reports: No direct reports
    • IT Projects: Several Regional (NA) level ITSC projects and changes related to application implementation or enhancements.  Between 7-9 mid to large size projects per year with focus on brand new and complex project design applications.     
    • Key interfaces, stakeholder and relationships
      • Internal: Group & Regional Infrastructure Teams; Group Logistics, Business Process Owners, Regional Business Process Owners, Regional Business Engagement Team; Regional ITSC Managers, Regional ITSC Architects, Regional ITSC Application Analysts and Designers, Regional ITSC Security for Applications, Regional ITSC Project Managers, Regional ITSC Service Management
      • External: Consulting Companies; IT Service Providers, Offshore Partners


    Level of education/qualifications normally required:

    • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline
    • SAP MM Certification is desired
    • ITIL Service Management Certification desired


    Specific work experience:

    • Minimum 12 years in application design, development, configuration and support of technology solutions to support SAP P2P business processes
    • Minimum 10 years SAP P2P Materials Management and FI - Accounts Payable
    • Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in SAP solution architecture/design
    • Strong functional and technical knowledge of SAP P2P integration with other SAP modules
    • High level of expertise with ARIBA




    Technical / functional skills:

    • Maintain a high level of awareness of all current SAP applications and solutions
    • Keen understanding of key concepts and technologies related to integrating SAP with 3rd party software and middleware technologies
    • Proficient understanding of overall P2P business application landscape and integration
    • Cooperatively work with Architecture, Project team and key business stakeholders to adapt to the changing strategies, funding decisions, risks, and organizational direction. Ability to determine when and how to modify a selected approach and assess impacts of change on design.
    • Highly experienced with configuration of SAP MM
    • Experience with SAP workflow technologies preferred
    • Basic understanding of SAP Security, Roles and Profiles as it relates to MM
    • Able to evaluate project complexity, constraints, risks and dependencies and effectively relay suitable information to key stakeholders
    • Understanding of IT service delivery and IT Service Management concepts and procedures
