    Come work with the LafargeHolcim Projects & Mobile Solutions team. Be involved in some of the largest and most exciting construction projects in Eastern Canada. We supply concrete to energy, mining, infrastructure & building development projects located in both local and remote areas using a fleet of portable ready mixed plants.     Health and Safety:

    • Assist in the implementation and compliance of Lafarge Safety Program to ensure personnel are working in a safe manner in accordance with policies and procedures. Ensures all aspects of his/her role are executed in a safe manner.
    • Obeys safety guidelines when on construction sites and Lafarge operations. Ensures that employees, equipment and processes meet or exceed the, governmental regulatory and Lafarge guidelines, standards and advisories.
    • Pursues a culture of safety with an objective of “zero” injuries or incidents. Actively engages with the employees to reinforce safe behaviors.
    • Engages pro-actively in risk assessment and near miss identification and reporting



    • Coordinate on site activities such as site work, production, maintenance and maximum utilization of equipment, personnel and subcontractors
    • Maintains the plant in accordance with stated guidelines for plant image. Plant image includes housekeeping, parts storage, vehicles and equipment condition (cleanliness and appearance), entrance & property, and buildings.
    • Monitor & recommend equipment for plant upgrades and to maintain productivity and efficiency
    • Assist with management of all plant staff; maintenance, production and delivery personnel
    • Ensure training requirements and records are up to date and offered as required
    • Support planning for all plant related repairs and maintenance in order to control cost and meet production demands


    Quality Control:

    • Understands the value of quality and ensures processes are in place to provide a quality product to our customers. Drives use of best practices for production and delivery.
    • Ensure compliance is met with regards to our QA/QC plan plant production is within quality specifications; May be responsible for performing some day to day quality control and will follow the QC Plan designed for the site



    • Maintains and follows environmental policies and processes as a priority at the site. Recognizes environmental compliance as a priority at the site. Ensures regulations are met or exceeded by following Lafarge best practices.


    Specific Accountabilities:

    • Safety Performance objective is “Zero”
    • Responsible for the achievement of best in class production through mobile RMX operations
    • Customer satisfaction working directly with our team and customers to obtain all objectives.


    Education & Work Experience:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Ability to perform basic math
    • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of concrete batching experience in concrete ready mix


    Knowledge & Skills:

    • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of concrete batching technology, equipment and methods
    • Proficient in Command batch computer systems and computerized dispatch systems.
    • Working computer knowledge; including applicable Microsoft office software
    • Strong customer service skills and dedicated to delivering on expectations
    • Experienced in the wet and dry batch process
    • Experienced in material handling systems.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
    • Mechanical aptitude
    • Front end loader experience
    • Self-motivated and proven ability to work with very little local supervision
    • Class “DZ” License preferable
    • Welding & Fabricating experience
