    The Country Financial Analyst provides management reporting, financial analysis, and decision support.  This position works to improve understanding of key business drivers and maximize results within the country/markets.  The Analyst works closely with, and in support of, the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis.


    • Assist with planning and execution of various forecasting campaigns (i.e. Country Business Plan (CBP), Mid Term Plan (MTP), monthly forecast, etc.
    • Use various reporting tools (BPC, SAP FC, etc.) to generate monthly reporting packages
    • Work with other departments to ensure consistency of data (i.e. G&I)
    • Perform standard and ad hoc financial analyses for country / markets
    • Work with all stakeholders to drive integrity of data and standardized processes
    • Monitor and ensure reporting schedules and commitments are adhered to  
    • Liaise with North American Business Services (NABS) to ensure collaborative achievement of Finance objectives
    • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments
    • Participate in review and enhancement to internal controls, accounting policies, and business processes

    • Consistency of accounting/statutory reporting and product line reporting
    • Effective linkage of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other financial performance analyses with financial reporting
    • Timely monthly management reporting

    • Continuous improvement of operating and reporting efficiencies


    Relationships with Others’ Jobs:

    • Frequent interaction with PL Finance Directors and Finance Managers
    • Interface with PL Finance Directors in monthly review/reporting process
    • Interaction with Shared Services Center
    • Peer relationships within and across regions with other Analysts


    Education and Work Experience: 

    • Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting or Business/Commerce degree
    • 3 - 5 years professional experience required
    • Enrollment in a Professional accounting program (CA, CMA, CGA or CPA) preferred


    Knowledge and Skills:


    • SAP FC/SAP ECC/BPC experience an asset
    • Strong ability to work independently
    • Advanced MS Excel and Access skills for reporting and data analysis
    • Advanced MS Powerpoint skills for presentation to senior management
    • In depth systems knowledge and experience
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills- verbal and written
    • Demonstrated ability in financial/business analysis
