    The Receptionist acts as an ambassador for the Mississauga regional office of Lafarge Canada by attending to both internal and external guests in a professional manner.  The Receptionist is also responsible for the daily upkeep of the office as well as providing backup administrative support to the office administrator.



    • Greet internal and external guests in a courteous and professional manner
    • Answer the main phone line and respond to general inquiries from the public
    • Enforce safety culture by conducting safety orientations to all visitors upon their arrival ensuring emergency procedures and emergency exits are clearly pointed out
    • Maintain visitor orientation tracking system
    • Ensure all machines in common areas are functioning and arrange services as
    • Manage/assist with meeting room calendar bookings
    • Assist in set up of meetings / training sessions (catering, registration, check-in, etc)
    • Order and maintain general office supplies
    • Manage phone lists and reception job aids/manual
    • Liaise with building maintenance and external vendors providing service at the office
    • Provide backup administrative support to the office administrator
    • Other duties as assigned



    • Post-Secondary education

    Experience and Skill Set:

    • 5+ years of administrative experience dealing with public
    • Strong French verbal and written considered a strong asset
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
    • Experience in MS Office - Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Ability to work independently and effectively in a face paced environment
    • Strong command of English language
    • Communication skills in French would be a definite asset
