    Main support for Geocycle quality program at assigned facility. The Incumbent will ensure the technical excellence with respect to quality control and assurance in addition to continuous improvement of quality management coordinating with external customers and carriers.


    • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
    • Oversee Alternate Fuels and Raw Materials (AFR) receptions with internal and external customers, carriers and ensure that transporters are Avetta certified.
    • Responsible for accurate analysis, evaluation, and handling of materials received at the pre-processing platform.
    • Coordinate and complete calibration and repairs of analytical equipment to maintain functionality and accuracy for all AFR streams –e.g. plastic, tires fluff, woodfines, FCC, etc.
    • Manage the quality dispute process with suppliers/customers if any
    • Ensure AFR delivery information is accurately captured into ERP systems i.e. SAP and WFMS.
    • Ensure compliance with permitted requirements at all times.
    • Coordinates the QA/QC program with the cement plant and Corporate QA/QC Manager as well as plant
    • Ensuring transfer of samples to the Holly Hill laboratory and/or third party laboratory (only ones that are not analyzed at the local Geocycle lab), validating laboratory results, and analyzing output from laboratory equipment.
    • Assure that H&S policy, all procedures and permit are respected.
    • Selection and scheduling of materials to be processed and blended into fuel based on analytical and financial results, current inventories, and plant specifications.
    • Maintain adherence to AFR policy, A-Cert, ISO, and OSHAS certifications.
    • Monitoring inventory levels, ensuring optimum utilization of space, and proper inventory rotation based on “first in/first out” principle.
    • Support plant production, process and quality teams.
    • Participate in business development activities and work closely with business development team in developing new AFR waste streams for use in the cement manufacturing process.



    Interact with team members on a regular basis to gather or communicated information, solve problems and meet deadlines.  Work with sales and customers/suppliers to meet their needs and communicate our position. 


    Required Education:  Bachelor's/Undergraduate Degree

    Field of Study Preferred:  Engineering or Sciences

    Required Training/Certifications:  Experience in an environmental or industrial lab or fuel processing plant.     Familiar with operation of equipment such as forklifts and loaders. Knowledge of SAP is an asset
