Overview

The HR Administrator will perform generalist activities and work closely with various members of the HR Department, functional Managers and Directors to supports HR and business objectives.  

Responsibilities

 

Safety:

  • Demonstrates a commitment to a safe work environment. Understands the safety objectives of the organization and supports these efforts in a visible manner.

Functional HR Support:

  • This role will actively participate as a member of the HR team in providing excellent customer service when providing transactional HR activities in the business. He/She may assist with the processing of hires, job changes, terminations, maintaining electronic employee files and create monthly and ad hoc employee data reports. This role will provide support on annual HR activities like succession planning, mid-year or year-end reviews, merit increases and compensation analysis.

 

Recruitment

  • Assists with recruitment and interview process. In partnership with the recruitment team, tracks status of candidates. Assists in creating recruitment tools and interview guides specifically for hourly employees. May assist with preparing offer letters and job descriptions while overseeing new hire administrative processes and employee on-boarding.

 

Communications

  • May be responsible for determining and mapping processes and procedures and sharing those with the HR team or market areas. May assist with designing communication tools that support the Employee Value Proposition project or policy changes.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Supports the processing, administration and analysis of procedures and policies related to compensation and benefits.

 

Analytics

  • Provides key analytics and information on assigned projects and propose solutions to address concerns and support business objectives, report requests, etc.
Relationship with Other Jobs:
  • High level of interaction with entire HR team
  • Moderate level of interaction with Functional leaders

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience:  2nd or 3rd year student in Business or Human Resources preferred

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills with high degree of thoroughness and accuracy
  • A high degree of time management, customer service and data accuracy are required.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate a high degree of professionalism
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Word and other applications
  • Ability to multi-task and process oriented
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingual (French and English) as asset
